Top 5 Countries to Visit In 2021

Do you miss traveling as much as I do? As a person who absolutely loves every aspect of the travel experience, this has been an especially challenging time. I actually enjoy searching for plane tickets and creating travel itineraries. There is something magical, about that feeling you get when exploring a foreign land for the very first time.  It’s all quite wonderful.  Just knowing that you have a fun adventure to look forward to in the future, can help get you through what can sometimes be a monotonous life.

Due to the current restrictions travel has pretty much ground to a halt for most countries across the globe. This has been unfortunate for those of us who live to travel, but absolutely devastating for those countries that are reliant upon tourism dollars to sustain their economy.

Travel enthusiasts and tourist-based countries pretty much work hand in hand. Let’s shine the light on countries that need us the most when it’s finally time to travel again.

These are the top 5 countries to visit in 2021.

     Aruba

Aruba is a popular Caribbean Island that is located about 30 miles away from the coastline of Venezuela. Aruba is a part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and the official language of the country is Dutch. Due to its colonial heritage, you will get a little taste of Amsterdam when walking through Aruba’s small downtown area. However, most people travel to this island to, of course, enjoy a relaxing stay at one of Aruba’s numerous beach resorts. The majority of people in Aruba work in the travel sector. Tourism accounts for about 75% of the GDP for this country.

There is a reason why so many tourists flock to this destination. Aruba is an amazing tourist destination known for its clear blue waters and beautiful white-sand beaches. Aruba is less than 3 hours away from Miami by plane, which makes this country a popular destination for American travelers.

Aruba has ideal weather for sunbathers. Due to its location, the temperature is usually around 82 degrees with a light breeze. Unlike the majority of the Caribbean, Aruba is located right outside of the hurricane belt which makes it more ideal when planning a trip in advance.  This is a perk that eliminates the anxiety of having to constantly check the weather. There is no need to worry about the best time to visit. It’s always a good time to visit Aruba!

The Maldives

The Maldives is an island country that is composed of a combination of 1,192 different islands. Only 200 of these islands are inhabited by people. The Maldives is almost completely reliant upon the fishing and tourism industry. Tourism accounts for over 57% percent of the GDP in the Maldives. The majority of the Maldivian citizens earn their income from the resorts.

This country will provide you with the unique experience of staying on what feels like a private island. This is due to the fact that each resort is located on its own private island. There is only one resort per island. How amazing is that! This is certainly not a budget-friendly location so be prepared to spend some money for this amazing experience.

Please keep in mind that some of the islands are not open to tourism so you will pretty much be spending the majority of your time on the resort island of your choice. This is a Muslim country so if you do intend to spend some time outside of your resort island, and in the local towns, you will not find any bars or clubs. Alcohol is only permitted on the resorts.

The people are conservative and you will need to respect the local customs as far as the dress code is concerned. So be sure to keep your scantily clad body within the resorts. However, the Maldivian people are extremely friendly and this country is considered to be peaceful and safe.

If you are looking for a beautiful, luxurious, tropical location, with plenty of sunshine and beautiful white sand beaches, then the Maldives is the place for you.
